  1. WAY too many things to say about this winning lineup. ATTACK OF THE MONSTERS, as shown on TV, was (at the time, to me) horrifyingly violent. So of course I loved it. When released on DVD I was dismayed that the "good stuff" had been cut out! From the TV print! WTF! Thank goodness I managed to tape this thing years later, and was (years later still) able to edit back in the wet stuff.

  2. TARZAN AND THE VALLEY OF GOLD is really worth watching. Its a 1966 actioner w/ Mike Henry as Tarzan! I was stunned when I realized that Tarzan was being played by "Junior Justice" from SMOKEY AND THE BANDIT. Every time I saw him, no matter what the circumstance, I kept hearing him say, "Daddy! The top came off!" But seeriously, worth a look; it's very 60's and obviously trying to compete w/ James Bond, so Tarzan flies a helicopter, gets in a tank battle, shoots guys, etc. Its real boss.

  3. I love the high contrast between programming too. Francis and Godzilla, vs. f***ing John Ford movies. Gotta love it.

  4. There are even wackier lineups yet to be posted.
I can picture the studio office for the Tarzan pitch. "Okay so Tarzan is flyin' the helicopter..."
